Follow our path to get your MA Gun License

FIRST, ENROLL IN OUR HOME SAFETY COURSE

Enroll in our gun safety course that is MA State Police approved.
Upon completion of the class you will receive your Mass State Police Certificate needed to obtain your License to Carry (MA LTC)

While in class, our MA State Police Certified Instructors will give
you hands-on training to teach you how to safely handle a firearm and ammunition.

You will gain knowledge on:

* Loading and unloading, safe handing & manipulation
* Different types of ammunition
* Various parts of a handgun
* Proper storage, childproofing, and transportation
* Massachusetts Laws, including Use of Force
* Conflict Avoidance & Deescalation Strategies

* Suicide Prevention & Supports

NEXT, APPLY AT YOUR LOCAL POLICE STATION

Our gun safety course will discuss the Online Application Process.
There is an application to fill out and submit on the MIRCS Unified Portal. Submit the Certificate from our MA LTC safety course.
Each town/city will have certain specific guidelines around recommendation letters, so we suggest preparing one.
Massachusetts General Law 140, Section 131 will be discussed with regards to suitability to hold a license to carry.

Massachusetts residents 15 years and older who wish to possess, carry, and transport firearms, ammunition, and feeding devices are required to have a FID card (youth firearms license). Firearms licenses are ultimately issued by municipal police departments.
